"She had a sister named Mary, who sat the Lord's feet and listened to what he was saying. But Martha was distracted by her many tasks."  Luke 10:39-40

During this uncertain season, it appears that we have an endless amount of time to do things: to clean, reorganize, learn a new skill, read a book, or start a new hobby. Yet, at the end of the day, we are often disappointed because those things that we thought we should be doing didn’t get accomplished.

It seems that Martha also had a long to-do list.

What if we can learn from Mary, and instead sit at Jesus’ feet and listen? What if we can stop scurrying and just be seated instead? There is always plenty of room at His feet.

What if it’s time to let go of grudges, prejudices, unrealistic expectations, of waiting for this season to end?

What if it’s time for more? More gratitude for our blessings, love for people and our beautiful earth, grace for ourselves and everyone around us, joy, faith and trust in God almighty that is walking with us.

We serve a God of endings and new beginnings, who has promised to be with us always, even to the end of time.
